A knowledge management system is a place to collect what you (or your team) knows.
In SilverBullet your notes are kept as a Space (folder) of Markdown Pages on disk. As you write, SilverBullet continuously indexes your content — pages, links, tasks, list items and their attributes — into queryable Objects. You can then slice and reshape that data with Queries (SLIQ) and surface the results right inside your notes.
A space may hold one person’s notes, a team’s knowledge base, or a project’s living documentation — the mechanics are identical either way. SilverBullet grew out of the personal knowledge management (PKM) tradition, and that remains one of the shapes a space takes. See Space#Who a space is for.
